Commissioned by the Ministry of Commerce of the P. R.C., the program. topics, such as Policy framework and practical results of China’s Inclusive Growth, Innovations for poverty actions of e-commerce in China, Format of rural market system in China, Women’s development project and poverty reduction research in China, Development of public service in rural areas and poverty reduction, Charitable activities and aiding of the poor, Micro-credit and development of poverty reduction will be given. This seminar combines theory with field survey, in which officials will pay a visit to Guangxi. In the midst of seminar, cultural experience and sightseeing in Beijing will be arranged to help enriching their life and understand Chinese rich culture and its long history. Through the Seminar, participants will have a relatively full understanding of China, and use the Chinese experience on Inclusive Growth for their own economic growth.
International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC) is an international anti-poverty institute jointly initiated and established in June 2005 by the government of the People’s Republic of China and the United Nations Development Programme and other international organizations. The mission of IPRCC is to make contributions to poverty alleviation across the world by conducting poverty reduction studies, sharing development experiences, promoting international exchange and South-South cooperation and introducing foreign capital to poverty alleviation. As an international platform in the field of poverty alleviation & development and also an important channel for the Chinese Government to carry out South-South cooperation, IPRCC provides developing countries and other relevant agencies with services from the following five aspects:1) Conduct research on domestic and international poverty reduction policies and theories, and popularize research outputs; 2) Carry out international poverty reduction trainings and poverty reduction knowledge sharing with other developing countries; 3) Organize international forums, conferences, exchange visits and relevant activities; 4) Carry out international poverty alleviation cooperation and undertake developing-countries-oriented poverty alleviation projects sponsored by the Chinese government; 5) Manage poverty alleviation projects with foreign capital and bring in international funds and advanced experience to assist China’s poverty alleviation and development.
